This chocolate frosting is the perfect blend of lightness and indulgence. It’s velvety smooth, slightly whipped, and has a deep chocolate flavor without being overly heavy. INGREDIENTS
1 Cup butter or margarine (softened)
3 cups Powdered Sugar
2/3 Cup Coca powder (unsweetened)
2 teaspoon Vanilla Extract
4 Tablespoons Milk of choice or Heavy Cream
DIRECTIONS
Place softened butter in a mixing bowl and beat with a mixer until it's light and fluffy.
Add vanilla extract and beat for 1 minute. Scrape the bowl at least one time.
Add 1 1/2 Cup powdered sugar. Blend with the butter. Add cocoa powder and blend for another minutes scraping the bowl at least one time.
Add the rest of the powdered sugar and milk of choice or heavy whipping cream.
Blend until smooth.
Frosting is now ready.
NOTES:
If using heavy whipping cream, do not over beat or the frosting will take on a thicker texture. The whipping cream is to create a light and fluffy texture to the frosting.
For a darker frosting use a Dutch unsweetened cocoa powder.
